The lifespan of extensions depends on the care that has been used, including product and lifestyle choices and overall how well they are maintained. With regular maintenance, the right hair care and proper treatment, your hair extensions should last between 8 months (for blondes) and 12 months (for brunettes). Some of our clients have used the same hair for over 12 months, but most clients choose to get new hair between 6 and 12 months.
We believe weft is the safest method. Extension maintenance is very important when it comes to weft care. When applied correctly they will not cause damage to your natural hair. A good care routine will help ensure both your hair and the extensions stay healthy.
Yes Absolutely! Wefts can be pulled up, and more easily when placement through the sides is on a 45-degree angle. It is always recommended to avoid pulling too much tension on any extension connection to minimise loosening of your bond.
Jadore hair is “Russian” hair, or European. This means it more closely matches a softer hair type. It is one of the most sought-after hair textures in the extension market, due to how closely it matches the texture and behaviour of the natural hair found on most hair extension clients. It requires a more delicate and precise processing method to ensure its quality is maintained, which is why it can be a little more expensive than the less desirable Indian or Asian hair types.
We offer a length of 22” and 26” for our weft extension methods, and have a vast colour range which includes 16 different shades. Including solid, foiled and balayage shades.
Weft extensions require refitting every 4-6 weeks, depending on your hair and your lifestyle. Some people with finer hair or more active lifestyles may require refitting at earlier intervals than others. It is important to understand the refitting intervals recommended by your stylist are to safeguard your hair from damage by refreshing the attachment before natural shedding can occur.
We have 2 options available in weft:
Option 1 - Classic Weft: Classic weft is machine stitched and it comes in a 1.1m length that is cut to size to fit the client’s head. It comes in two separate lengths, 22” 100g and 26” 120g packs.
Option 2 - Luxury Flat Weft: Luxury flat weft has a PU seal at the top instead of a machine stitch to make the weft sit flatter on the head. It comes in 22” and a 1.1m length cut to fit the clients head. It comes in a 22” length and 100g.
Your extensions can be washed and styled just like your own natural hair. When you are washing your hair extensions, treat them similarly to your own hair, using a shampoo first followed by conditioner and / or a hydrating mask. When you are washing your hair extensions, always rinse thoroughly to remove excess product. It is recommended that you wash your hair extensions 2-3 times per week with our Kerasatse or Jadore Hair Care.
